The City of Fort Worth is committed to making the process of obtaining public records as easy as possible. Many public records are accessible on the city's internet site at https://fortworthtexas.gov/
Other records are not made available due to confidentiality, or prevented by law. Many of these records can be obtained through a public information request (PIR), with some exemptions as determined by state law.
In connection with relocation of the City's Mailroom to New City Hall, the mailing address for public information requests is changing effective July 29, 2024.
